Manuka Health’s Propolis and Active MGO™400 Manuka Honeysuckles combine the healthy goodness of pure New Zealand Propolis with MGO™400 Manuka Honey. They are designed to help fight against winter colds and flu. And they taste good too!

Unique to New Zealand, MGO™ Manuka Honey is the only 100% natural food in the world shown to have EFFECTIVE and RELIABLE  due to the active compound – Dietary Methylglyoxal (MGO™) which forms naturally in the manuka plant.

So far MGO™ Manuka Honey has been the only food in the world with such a significant Dietary Methylglyoxal content ranging from 20mg/kg to over 800mg/kg. In contrast all other honeys worldwide tested have ranged between 0-10mg/kg.

Manuka Health measures methylglyoxal content based on standards developed by University of Dresden. For example, this container of MGO™400 contains at least 400mg/kg of dietary Methylglyoxal.

MGO™ Table

MGO™
30 Lower levels of activity for nutrition
100 Medium level activity for general well-being
250 Antibacterial activity found
400 High MGO activity for digestive usefulness
550 Superior MGO activity for topical application

“Manuka honey should be one of the few food items for which a health-promoting property beyond the basic nutritional function can be clearly documented. Health claims require significant scientific consensus, and I think from a scientific point of view, the data concerning the methylglyoxal-induced antimicrobial properties of Manuka honey are very promising to fulfill the requirements” Professor Thomas Henle.
